Want to be a part of the Mac Lab Video Team™?

Post a comment on this page and we’ll get back to you.

Before you comment, make sure you can:

  1. spend lots of time after school and before school, which means if you play sports then joining may not be a wise choice
  2. You’re reliable
  3. You’re interested in making videos and VFX. We don’t want people unmotivated.

Am I the first person to actually find this page? Anyway, I’m in cross country right now so I’d have a hard time getting in after school, but I can do lunches and make a special effort to get up early when we film before school. Then I’ll have a couple of months of being able to work after school, when XC ends.

  1. Hey Ian,
Just wanted to make a comment that might clear up some concerns as far as participation goes.
    Unless I’m mistaken-
There are sort of two “branches” to the Mac Lab Video Team.
Since people like Philip and Vincent are in school, their focus is more on the school video projects that are needed by ASB. Kyle and I have already graduated, so can’t exactly commit to these ASB videos like Philp to an extent (I guess I can only speak for myself, so Kyle can correct me if I’m wrong here). Of course, if Philip needs help, we’re more than welcome to help since those videos take priority.

However, you’ll notice that number 3 on the lists talk about VFX. This is something pretty new that we’re doing. If your schedule proves to be difficult to help out for ASB videos, at the least you may be able to drop in and help out for these videos that Kyle and I are focusing on with special effects and such. So far, we’ve tried to be pretty reasonable as far as time we meet trying to accommodate for everyone. Granted, this was before school started so I can’t make guarantees. But if this is still something you’re interested in, there should be plenty of opportunities down the road for you to help out in one way or another.

    • I’m MIA ’till they get my clearance form.

Thanks for clearing that up. Sounds like I can actually do stuff this year, which will be nice.

  2. I’ll be in the maclab today at lunch again with Philip, and yes we have outside projects we are going to be working on. ATM we have 5 videos for ASB to make though, So instrumental warfare is taking a break for a week or two, at least on our end I believe.

  3. YUSH. I so want to be part of this.
    I’m in 7th period though.
But I don’t have a 1st, so I can be in before school starts.
Not so sure about after school though.
But I hope I can take part of this o_o

    • We’ll try to include everyone as much as possible. Just keep checking in on this site about times and places and updates.

So, just come in at lunch or after school? Because it seems like you don’t really have an actual schedule (from my understanding)

    • Lunch is probably your best bet.

Great. So how long will that take? ALL of lunch?

  4. I want to do this but the problem is the conflicting schedule.

  5. Okay, all I’ve gotten so far was, “come in at lunch,” and other than that, I know nothing about this team. So can SOMEBODY fill me in on some information here? I’d really like to join. And please don’t say, “lunch is probably the best time,” or something similar.

    • Hi David,
Sorry for being so slow on the response; my phone went off during class when you commented and I forgot to respond by the time I got home.
I’ll send you and e-mail with a google excel sheet that you can put down your information and when a shoot or something comes up we’ll contact you via what you put down.

I have a project that i’d like to pitch. I made a comment on the blog post saying a brief paragraph of what I’d like to do. Please reply to that comment if you’re interested.
